Indigo Free painting raffle
and summer shows, and tape scraps
Hello.
First item today is me pointing you toward an excellent fundraising painting raffle being held right now until June 17th by Indigo Free. I am matching $2000 worth of proceeds for it. Tickets are cheap and the painting is priceless and the cause is crucial. Indigo’s I****ram post and writing about it are below:
Dear Community,
I’m raffling a painting from my Green World Paintings For Peace series for direct mutual aid to mothers and their babies in G a z a. The reality of pregnancy, birth, and raising children in a war zone is untenable and excruciating. As we live comfortably in our bubbles of relative safety watching this g e n o c i d e unfold, I am unwilling to shrug and shut my heart off to the collective experience. If my personal philosophy includes staring grief in the face, bodhisattva-esque attempts, letting go of attachment, giving it all away, then there must be something beyond the metaphorical that I can offer. A small drop in the giant sea. I invite you to join me!

Maybe summer just clicked on? It smells like it. Hot sap, ants on a log. This morning I saw like 8 bald eagles sitting in the low tide mud as I drove past the beach. What washed up?

I have been working
on the artwork for a new Mount Eerie album, as well as a repress of the Hana Stretton album which sold out really fast (thanks everyone!) and another zine thing, more info on that later.
Mixing for the new Mount Eerie is finished. It happened on tape, mixing 1/2” to 1/4”, it’s a fully analog album. I love the slowness. I love splicing and sequencing, handling the sound. Here are some process photos:
