It’s Leap Day, a calendar math holiday. Happy Leap Day everyone. Here are some advertisements for you about my music band Mount Eerie.
I’m on tour right now. Me and Bilbo just got done rehearsing our long spaced out electric guitar set at my brother’s neighbor’s practice shed here in the dry squinty Eastern Sierras of California as we make our way south. Tomorrow we play the first show in Ojai. There are still a few tickets left for all these shows (except for SF). Please jump in:
Friday, March 1st, 2024 - Ojai, Cal. - Deer Lodge
Saturday, March 2nd, 2024 - Los Angeles, Cal. - Walt Disney Concert Hall/Los Angeles Philharmonic, Mount Eerie playing as support for the US premier of Dirty Projectors and Los Angeles Philharmonic perform David Longstreth’s Song Of The Earth
Sunday, March 3rd, 2024 - San Francisco, Cal. - Grace Cathedral
Tuesday, March 5th, 2024 - Arcata, Cal. - The Miniplex
Wednesday, March 6th, 2024 - Eugene, Ore. - WOW Hall

and the last item today is that I got to have a really fun and deep weird conversation with Dave Longstreth (Dirty Projectors) for the Talkhouse podcast. I’m playing a short set before his huge crazy new composition called Song of the Earth at Disney Hall in LA in a couple days, so we talked a little about that, but also about so much other stuff. It felt short even though we talked for almost an hour. So much to get into. Listen here.
OK, that’s all for now. Bye everyone.
Phil
i had to give away your tickets for the san francisco show, i’m so sad 😪
Really beautiful paintings in that photo.
